Ali Shoraka, Ben Xu and Marc Wang, co-founders of Melbourne-based wellness brand Sensori+, knew they were onto something when their first product, an Air Detoxifying Mist, was rapidly snapped up by customers. Marc Wang says it confirmed the trio’s belief that people want more than just luxuries for their homes when it comes to skincare, fragrances, bath and body products.

“It’s important for our customers to be reassured that the products they’re purchasing make a genuine difference to toxin levels – such as Formaldehyde, Benzene and Sulfide – in their homes, and we’re pleased to be able to scientifically prove that our products do just that,” he says.

The mists struck a particular chord during Australia’s devastating bushfire season earlier this year.

“We saw a huge uplift in Australian orders at the beginning of the year due to the bushfire crisis, and demand has remained pretty consistent due to COVID-19,” says Marc.

The Air Detoxifying mists took the brand eight years to perfect and work by using its patented ChlorosPURE®technology, an all-natural plant extract that eradicates air toxins and neutralises malodours. Basically it restores the quality of air without the ‘scent-masking’ common in home fragrances.

Launched two years ago, the brand’s products are clean, vegan and locally made using natural ingredients. The scents themselves are inspired by Australian nature, with names such as ‘Toowoomba Carnival’ and ‘Macedon Trail’ and the brand has recently expanded into skincare.

Sensori+ was able to scale the business quickly by partnering with Amazon Australia, allowing them access to a larger pool of customers than if they were going it alone. In its first six months of operation, Sensori+ has expanded to multiple global Amazon markets including Amazon UK and Amazon USA. This allowed the brand to continue to offer seamless customer service as sales for the business boomed.

“We view Amazon as our flagship retailer. We’re looking to expand into more of their marketplaces, with our focus across Europe, and it was great for us to be able to start our Amazon journey in our home market,” says Ben.

“We trust Amazon to mirror our high customer service standards and they’ve been a huge factor in quickly growing our business.”

With luxury homeware booming and Aussies seeking out natural and non-toxic product, this entrepreneur trio share how they perfected Sensori+ over the past 8 years.

While growing the business is a priority, the brand is committed to operating ethically and growing in a sustainable way. Staying true to its science-backed vegan and cruelty-free formulas is imperative.

Wang says working with Amazon Australia has made this possible, giving them access to customers who believe in their philosophy.

“We know that our Amazon.com.au customers share our values,” he says. “And it’s important to us that we’re able to partner with a company who can connect us to people not just all over the country, but all over the world, and who care about the same things that we do,”
